Virtual production refers to any production conducted with virtual or CGI-based elements. The film industry uses this technology to project the background of a scene on a giant screen, called an LED volume, in front of which actors act and are filmed. This system, which allows the images to move in real time according to the camera's position, has greatly reduced the cost and time required to visit actual shooting locations or build huge sets for filming, thus has made filming more efficient.
